Rock Detectives

Date: 15th Nov 2017 @ 3:16pm

In Science this week we went on a rock hunt around the school grounds! Our new topic in Science is ‘Rocks’ and the focus of this rock hunt was to see how rocks are used outside school. We found lots of different uses for rocks outside, such as tiling on the roof and stone walls. We really enjoyed being rock detectives!

When we got back into the classroom, we talked about how we could group the different rocks together and decided that the best way to do this would be to group according to colour and texture. We had lots of fun completing a grouping activity and proved that we are fantastic geologists!
