Art - Matisse style!

This week we have been learning all about the French artist Henri Matisse. Did you know that he invented a new way to create pictures called 'painting with scissors!' We looked at some of his paintings and talked about the bright colours and the things that we could see. Miss Sharples then showed us a rather funny looking picture called 'The Snail.' We had to look really closely to see the foot and the shell curving round. We had a go at making our own version of Matisse's picture. What do you think? We think we did a great job!
