Science in Acorns

Date: 29th Jan 2018 @ 7:58pm

In Science we have been learning all about minibeasts. We have looked closely at the life cycle of a butterfly, after watching a video clip about how caterpillars turn into butterflies. We acted out the life cycle of a butterfly starting life in a tiny egg. Then we turned into eating machines muching round our classroom before wiggling our way into a chrysalis. Finally we turned into butterflies, drying our wings before flying around the room investigating our new surroundings.

We even made eggs from string and glue, caterpillars from egg boxes, chrysalises from brown paper bags and designed our own butterflies for our classroom display!
