Parliament Week in Willow Class

Date: 21st Nov 2018 @ 9:50pm

Last week was our annual parliament week ! Willow class' focus was on how laws are made? Who makes laws? and why laws are important.

We discussed laws that the children already knew about and some new laws that have been introduced recently. We then thought about what would happen if we didn't have laws. 'Chaos!' was the children's response. Afterwards we watched a video about how laws are made, we all found it very interesting that new laws are discussed and voted on. Finally we hosted our own mini debate, the children thought of a bill that they would like to pass, and argued either side. All were very good at debating, we even had a debating superstar who won a certificate for her mature and well thought out arguements.

We all loved learning about our parliament and how new laws are passed.
